Sierawski
Associate Director & Research Associate Professor, Vanderbilt University

Brian Sierawski is the Associate Director of the Institute for Space and Defense Electronics (ISDE) and a Research Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on radiation effects in microelectronics, including single event effects, radiation hardness assurance, and assessments of on-orbit error rates in the space radiation environment. He utilizes particle accelerator experiments to evaluate semiconductor device response to ionizing radiation and support the development of radiation-tolerant systems. His research has been funded by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Sandia National Laboratories, and others. Dr. Sierawski has also developed four nanosatellite experiments and advises the Vanderbilt Satellite Club.
